RED WING, MN (January 2008) — Irish Setter has developed three unique snake boots with SnakeGuard so there’s one to meet any hunter’s needs. The latest addition is the Irish Setter Mountain Claw Viper #3800. It’s a truly comfortable snake boot. The Mountain Claw Viper snake boot provides an adjustable fit boot with extended protection in the form of an integrated gaiter. The boot base is similar to most lace-up boots but that’s where the similarity ends. An integrated gaiter rises from the boot base with waterproof and snakeguard membranes extending from the foot to the top of shaft. The integrated gaiter is more flexible and accommodating than a standard boot shaft making it significantly more comfortable while hunting. A drawcord closure at the top allows hunters to cinch the boots securely over pants or gather the fabric neatly when tucking pant legs into the boots. Its Ground Claw sole combines aggressive rubber cleats with a serrated toe for grip on the steepest slopes. EVA cushioning in the midsole absorbs shock and reduces weight. The system works to re-distribute the downward force produced under the heel during each stride. The system works to counter the pressure on feet during a long day of hunting, minimizing muscle and bone fatigue. The end result is a more enjoyable experience in the field, with fresher legs over the course of multi-day hunting trips. This upland snake boot features the newly configured Bar Track outsole, which won’t collect mud but will hold you to the trail. The suggested retail price is $259 for this 17” leather/nylon snake boot. The Irish Setter Shadow Trek Viper #825 is a snake boot with an athletic feel, making it easier to tackle the woods. They are designed for hunts that require extensive walking, providing an optimal fit with extreme comfort. The 17″ snake boots are constructed with UltraDry waterproof membranes and RealTree HD Green camouflage. The abrasion resistant nylon uppers enable superior breathability compared to knee boots that utilize an all-rubber construction. The Ground Claw outsole has an aggressive tread pattern with serrated front cleats for superior performance on steep embankments. Side zip shafts facilitate entry and exit without compromising fit.
