WINNIPEG (January 2008) — Richlu Manufacturing has signed agreements with The Red Wing Shoe Company to develop Red Wing and Irish Setter apparel lines. The Red Wing apparel line consists of men’s leather outerwear inspired by Red Wing Shoe’s legendary leather. Irish Setter, long known for its performance hunting boots, is extending its brand to include performance upland jackets and rugged casual jackets, vests, shirts and pants that are hunting-inspired. “Richlu was attracted to Red Wing’s brands because of their strength among both retailers and consumers,” said Richlu Vice President Gavin Rich. “The Red Wing Shoe brand is known worldwide and Irish Setter has loyal following that appreciates its rich hunting footwear heritage. We’re confident that the generations who have worn the Red Wing and Irish Setter footwear will be equally receptive to the apparel.” “A core element of our Red Wing brand’s reputation is leather. Richlu’s management team recognized these same core values and created a strong offering for our brands, our retailers and most importantly the consumer.“ The Irish Setter Fall 08 lines will debut at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas, February 2-5 in booth #6261.The new Irish Setter apparel line and Irish Setter boots will be available July 2008 at leading outdoor retailers. The Red Wing and Irish Setter apparel lines will be shown at the Magic Fashion and Apparel Show, February 12-15 in Las Vegas, booth # 6837.
